In Oklahoma, USA, crap is gold. Head on to Beaver, OK so you would know what we are talking about! April is the time to save those poops and have some fun. What started off as a local fuel turned out to be a trend! Cow chips have been used for a variety of activities for hundreds of years. In the early days when the first settlers arrived, they relied on these cow poop to keep warm, fuel for a campfire or stove. This little brown crap is so important that it is even called brown gold.
Now, it is a sport for all OK to enjoy. Competitors even from Australia, Germany and Japan garner for the crown. Throwing cow chips today will bring world recognition. Everyone gets the chance to pick two chips from the pile. The rules? There is only one rule. Ya gotta do it bare-handed!
Who holds the world record? (Yes, there is a world record!) Leland Searcy in 1979 holds the record with a 182′3 hurl. If you think you’re up for it, then head on to Beaver and take a chance at this family oriented sport. Otherwise, just have some fun with chips!
